May 2018 Stitch Fix Review

The weather is finally warming up, and I am ready to make the transition to summer clothes.  When I peeked at my Fix this month, I didn’t immediately love it.  My usual stylist was taking time off this month, and the new stylist was trying to get me out of my comfort zone.  Sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes it isn’t. 🙂  Once I tried everything on, I liked most of it.

Not familiar with Stitch Fix?  Check out my post-Finding Style with Stitch Fix to read about how it works.  I joined Stitch Fix in March 2017.  I love getting a box of new clothes and being able to try them on in the comfort of my home. With Stitch Fix, you can mix and match with items you already own and try new styles.  Keep what you want and send back anything you don’t (with free shipping both ways). There is no minimum purchase, and you can choose how often you want to receive a fix (automatically ship every 1-3 months or manually choose a date).  I love getting clothes that fit great and look fabulous without a lot of effort.

What I Kept

I loved this top as soon as I saw it in the app.  The color is so pretty and I love the design of the front.  The price was also great for my budget! 🙂

I hadn’t planned on getting the crop jeans because I already had several pairs of capris for the summer.  Like all of my Stitch Fix jeans, they were incredibly comfortable and I just loved them on.  Seriously, if you have ever thought about trying Stitch Fix, try it for their jeans!!! After checking my closet, I decided to splurge and get them for the summer.  Love them!!!

What I Returned

Can we just talk about how cute these sneakers are?  I really liked these shoes and they looked so cute with the outfit above.  They would have been perfect for summer, but since I splurged on the jeans, the shoes didn’t fit my budget this time.  Knowing how much I love flowers, this was a tough choice!

First impressions, I wasn’t sure about this top.  The stars were translucent, so I had to wear a white layering tee under it. I liked it on, but I don’t like to layer my tops in the summer.  So, back it went.

This top was the one that my stylist put in to try to get me out of my comfort zone.  I thought it might be ok when I saw it in the app, but then I realized that it was a cold shoulder tee.  I know they are popular right now, but I am not fond of them and I won’t wear them.  I have instructions in my profile to keep my shoulders covered, but I did go into my profile after this Fix and add that I didn’t want any more cold shoulder tops. Part of the process to help your stylist get to know you. 🙂

Overall, I was pretty happy with this Fix.  My new stylist found several items that I loved and it is always good to try new things.  If you would like to learn more about Stitch Fix, check out my post-Finding Style with Stitch Fix or check out the Stitch Fix website.  For more style ideas, check out my Pinterest boards.
