Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away.  Do you want to impress everyone with the most delicious dinner rolls EVER? For many years, I enjoyed these amazing rolls at my in-law’s home during the holidays.  I never asked for the recipe because I imagined they were hard to make.  A few years ago, I finally asked for a copy of the recipe and guess what?  They are not that hard!  These rolls do take time to raise, but trust me….they are so worth it!  They are the perfect rolls for your Thanksgiving feast, but they are also delicious with soups, casseroles, etc…  Soft, fluffy, buttery-you will want to find reasons to make these often.

Update 11/20/2018  I made a video! Now you can see how easy they really are to make! 🙂

Catching up on Summer Photo Memories

Catching up on summer photo memories

Why is it so hard to find time to record our memories? We all take photos of our families, and most of us share snippets of our lives on social media.  But are we actually taking time to organize those photos, write down the stories that go along with them, and PRINTING them out?  Between running kids everywhere, trying to keep the house somewhat clean and laundry done, and trying to answer that never-ending question of what’s for dinner, it is HARD to make time for memory keeping. Trying to carve out a few minutes a day when you have 20 other items on your to do list is a challenge for every overwhelmed mom, especially when it is just easier to hop on social media or Netflix. 🙂 [Read more…]

Welcome to Week 4 of the 7 tasks to a Cleaner Home series!  Just a little intro for those who might be new here- 7 tasks to a Cleaner Home is a weekly series that I started in September.  Fall is a great time for deep cleaning your home.  The kids are back in school, the weather is cooler, and it is a good time to tackle the areas of our home that have been neglected all summer.  Every week, this series focuses on tasks throughout the home that have been overlooked.  No need to catch up or feel behind-just pick a few items each week that you can focus on that will help you have a cleaner home this week.  You can find the other weeks here: Week 1, Week 2, and Week 3[Read more…]

One Hour Orange Rolls

My kids LOVE when I make cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  It is one of our favorite holiday and special occasion traditions, but most recipes are SO time-consuming.  You have to make the dough the night before and then wake up very early so they can rise for several hours before you bake them.  For years, I would purchase frozen rolls that I could set out the night before to raise and we were happy with that.

Then one day I came across this pin for One-hour Cinnamon Rolls.  Yes, that’s right-fresh baked, soft, delicious cinnamon rolls made in ONE HOUR. We tried them, loved them, and have been making them ever since.  The original recipe makes 24 rolls and can be found HERE.  Since we don’t need that many cinnamon rolls, I cut the recipe in half and modified it slightly.  Sometimes I make this recipe as cinnamon rolls, sometimes I make it as orange rolls.  Both variations are amazing. October 2017 Stitch Fix Men’s Review

My husband Josh has always had a difficult time finding business clothes that fit him.  He has an athletic build with broad, muscular shoulders and a trim waistline.  Shirts that fit him in the shoulders are usually baggy around the middle. It was actually his idea to join Stitch Fix first.  He learned about it from a co-worker and has been very happy with the service.  Everything he has tried from Stitch Fix has fit him well, and he has been able to build a professional wardrobe of clothes that he likes.

The life of a mom is busy.  Whether you work full-time or you stay home, take care of babies or run older kids here and there, life is BUSY.  From sun up to sun down, you have a hundred things to worry about on a daily basis.  Am I right?  It is so easy to get overwhelmed or to let little things go unnoticed.  I have been there. In fact, if you have seen my first two posts in this series (Week 1 and Week 2), you understand that I am still there.  Every week is a work in progress.  Did I do all 7 tasks from last week? Not yet!  BUT, I did print out the printable from Week 2, so I will continue to chip away at those tasks. [Read more…]
