Fall is definitely in the air in Southeast Idaho, but it is still technically late summer. 🙂  Every Fall, I like to get a box or two of juicy, sweet peaches.  Last week, I shared my recipe for Fresh Peach Cobbler. Today, I am sharing our favorite peach strawberry freezer jam.  It is super easy and fast to make and tastes delicious!  Truth be told, I haven’t purchased jam from a grocery store in YEARS.  I make several batches of strawberry and peach strawberry jam every year.  My kids love it on sandwiches, pancakes, rolls, etc. [Read more…]

I love Fall.  The cooler temperatures, the changing leaves, the excitement of upcoming holidays, and the smell of pumpkin spice. 🙂  When school starts every year, I go into Fall cleaning mode.  I usually don’t do much spring cleaning because I know my kids will be home for the summer.  Fall is a great time to tackle tasks that aren’t done on a weekly basis.

When I was a younger mom, I followed Flylady.net through daily emails (years before Facebook).  Although I haven’t followed her for years, many of the habits I learned stuck with me.  I am excited to launch this new series of posts every Monday: 7 Tasks for a Cleaner Home.  These tasks will be things that tend to be overlooked in our homes. Peach Cobbler

We adapted this peach cobbler recipe from a Dutch oven recipe.  We have tried other cobbler recipes over the years but always come back to this one. It is super simple with only 4 ingredients.  It is also delicious cooked in a dutch oven if you are looking for an easy camping dessert.   [Read more…]

Welcome to my September 2017 Stitch Fix review!  My husband and I joined Stitch Fix in March 2017 (check out Finding Style with Stitch Fix to read about how it works).  We love getting a box with new clothes and being able to try them on in the comfort of our home.  With Stitch Fix, you can mix and match with items you already own and try new styles. You can choose how often you want to receive a fix (manually choose a date or automatically ship every 1-3 months). Keep what you want and send back anything you don’t (with free shipping both ways).   [Read more…]

As I mentioned in my post Finding Style with Stitch Fix, my husband Josh was the one that wanted to join Stitch Fix first.  He learned about it from a co-worker and has been very happy with the service.  Josh has an athletic body type with broad, muscular shoulders and a trim waist line.  It makes find business clothes difficult since shirts that fit his shoulders are usually big around his waist.  Every shirt he has tried from Stitch Fix has fit him well, and he has been able to build a professional wardrobe of clothes that he likes.
